Tammie Coplin Jones

CEO/Owner/Realtor/Property Manager/Managing Broker

Tammie is the owner of Open Door Rentals and Real Estate. She bought her first home at 19 from her mentor, the late Scott Uhl. Driven by real estate, she got her license in 1998 and worked with Uhl Realty before founding Castle One Realty, which she ran for 14 years. After selling the company, she focused on real estate investments and eventually founded Open Door Rentals and Real Estate. Managing a multimillion-dollar business with locations in Auburn and Fort Wayne, Tammie uses her expertise as a Realtor and Property Manager to think like an investor, focusing on acquisitions, mergers, and creating positive cash flow. As a mother of 6 and grandmother of 5, her kids and grandkids are her world. She aims to make real estate investments a positive experience. Her tagline: "No pressure – no diamonds!"

CFO/Owner/Realtor

As one of the partners that own Open Door Rentals and Real Estate, Lori has worked hard to create the family enviroment that is an integral part of our way of doing things.  She is also heading up our Renovations team with our maintenance superintenandent, Brian.  Lori has been happily married for the last 20+ years. She is the mother of three boys, all of which she has homeschooled. She has obtained her marketing degree and has recently obtained her real estate license. She enjoys traveling, watching her boys play in multiple sports and activities, and riding the motorcycle with her husband.

Tiffany Ball

Realtor/Transaction Coordinator

Tiffany is a life-long native of Auburn, IN. Her and her husband, Josh, are raising their 4 kids here as well! Tiffany and her husband have bought multiple homes and the real estate is industry peeks their interest. They bought their first investment property in 2010 and continued in the real estate industry since. Tiffany is working on obtaining her real estate license and experience of all different sides of the real estate world. Property Management, investing, flipping and such! Her position with the company as a transaction coordinator allows her to learn from others as they grow their portfolio also. She will greet you with a smile every time!

Shelby & Colten VonDerau

Realtors

Shelby and Colten make a powerful real estate team, committed to helping clients achieve their goals with expertise and care. Shelby is passionate about guiding clients through the buying, selling, and investing process, seeing real estate as an opportunity to build stability and create lasting futures. She is also deeply involved in her community, coaching youth sports and serving on multiple boards. Outside of work, she enjoys time with her husband, Colten, and their three children, often relaxing with a good book and coffee.



Colten is a skilled realtor, investing consultant, and property manager, dedicated to helping people find their dream homes and build wealth through real estate. A devoted husband and father, Colten cherishes his family time with Shelby and their three children. Together, Shelby and Colten bring a wealth of knowledge, a passion for real estate, and a genuine commitment to helping their clients succeed in every step of their journey.

Nicole Schnurr

Realtor

Nicole has lived in Indiana her entire life. She has been happily married for 7 years and is the mom of 2. She has worked in property management since 2017 and joins our team as a Realtor. She is motivated and resourceful in assisting both owners and tenants with all that they need to buy or sell a home.

Michelle L King

Realtor

Michelle, a devoted wife and mother of Ten, lives in Waterloo with her husband, Bryan on a small hobby farm. She is passionate about story telling through acting in the Movie industry, also attending her children's sports events and enjoys staying on the go. In addition to being an active member of her church, Michelle also dedicates time to raising animals on her family farm. Her vibrant lifestyle reflects her commitment to family, faith, and the hands-on experience of homesteading and living life to the fullest!

Shawnee

Property Coordinator/Office Manager

Shawnee is willing to take on any challenge you throw her way. Shawnee has worked in the rental and marketing business before and loves that she is still learning and perfecting her ability to get things done for clients and our company. She assists each team in the final touches and customer contact. She is a mother to two beautiful children and loves spending time riding motorcycles with her boyfriend.

Jessica

Lead Leasing Agent

An active mother of 3, and a long running relationship with her husband for 27 years to date, her perseverance is real! Her duty here is head of leasing on the team and ready to assist you with your rental needs.  She loves working with the public to better serve her community.  She is here to help you in your transition in life.  She is a past president of the park board in her community, active in the local girl scout council as a facilitator for zipline and wall climbing, a member of OES charitable organization helping those in need in our community and so much more. Always giving back!

Margaret

Utility Cooridinator

Margaret has been a valuable member of the Open Door team for two years. Before transitioning to property management, she worked in the lending and retail sectors. Margaret thrives on the daily challenges and the opportunity to assist others. She expertly manages our extensive utility connections and payees, and she also oversees the association management within the company. Outside of work, Margaret enjoys spending quality time with her family, traveling (especially to beach destinations), and taking motorcycle rides with her husband.

Destiny

Accounts Receivable Specialist

Destiny is a busy and devoted mother of eight, and grandmother of one, balancing her active family life with grace and energy. She is happily married to Nathan, her elementary school best friend, and together they have built a life filled with love and laughter. Though Destiny tends to be on the quieter side, she thrives in the whirlwind of her daily routine, which revolves around her children’s sports activities. With so much on her plate, she is always on the go—whether it’s attending games, practices, or other events, she’s constantly juggling her responsibilities with a smile. Despite her hectic schedule, Destiny remains deeply committed to her family, ensuring that each of her kids has the support and encouragement they need to succeed. Her life may be non-stop, but it’s filled with purpose, passion, and the joy of seeing her children grow and thrive.

Grace

Accounts Payable Specialist

Grace resides in Garrett where she spends a lot of time with family, friends, and her dog Ellie. She is also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Garrett! Grace’s future goals are to learn and grow with Open Door, and to always have a positive attitude! A fun fact about Grace is that in her free time she loves to do karaoke with her boyfriend!

Tennessee

Site Evaluator

Tennessee is a Mother of 3 but many call her mom, her loving and caring spirit has attracted many of these children over the years . She has worked in health care industry most all of her life. She enjoyed this as caring for others brings her happiness. Her life partner of 5 years, Jen and Tennessee loves to travel, loves the mountains and national parks are her thing! Tennessee doesn’t know a stranger and is the team member that is willing to help others with any of their struggles.

Carson

Marketing

Carson is the other half of the Open Door Boys. He was solicited by Lori and quickly found his spot as a photographer and social media director. He brings a new “vibe” to the office with his creativity and high energy. He sees his role at Open Door as a way to show the community that Open Door is not just a company but people as well and to support the other team members with anything he can. He’s excited to use his talents in the arts such as music and photography to help Open Door grow more and more. He’ll be going to school for music therapy and is excited to see where Open Door will take him.

Brian

Renovation Director

Brian is our Maintenance Superintendent. He currently manages all maintenance projects for ODRR, including in-house employees and subcontractors. Brian has 20 years experience in the trades, 10 years in property maintenance, Healthcare and Residential, and has been a part of a 45000 square foot healthcare expansion project. He is a retired Volunteer Firefighter and EMT who enjoys his 1968 Torino GT, riding his motorcycle, hiking and traveling!

Shanna

Lead Maintenance Director

Shanna is a mother of 3 and she is married to Brian, the Maintenance Superintendent. Together they have 6 kids. Shanna worked in the nursing home field for 7 years before coming to Open Door. She started out in housekeeping and worked her way up to Human Resources. She loved working with all her fellow employees and working with the elderly. Shanna loves to problem solve and she is always offering a helping hand. Her passions are hiking, kayaking, motorcycling with her hubby and going to Blackberry Smoke concerts!
